When animal communication can help your dog

Do you need help communicating with your dog?

Do you know when professional animal communicators can help you with your dog? Maybe you don’t know what they do or what to expect from a session with a person who communicates with animals. What do these professionals do, anyway? And why is it worth the consideration of paying someone to communicate with your dog?

Basically, an animal communicator has learned to receive from and send information to animals in a nonverbal way. Although most people have at least some ability to do this, they often don’t realize it. Usually, someone who communicates professionally has more than average talent which they’ve developed to a higher level. A professional has learned how to make the most of the skills they already have to improve human/animal relationships.

Animal communicators all work a bit differently, but when you ask one to work with you, the intention is to facilitate the understanding between you and your dog. Their function isn’t to teach or train, but to translate your dog’s form of communication to yours and vice versa. Read this post from healingforanimals.com for more information.

When do you need animal communicators?

Most of the time, you and your dog are probably fine and don’t need any outside help with anything. Each of you knows pretty much what to expect from the other. While you may not know exactly what each other is thinking, you’re not having any problems you feel you need to deal with.

If you know your dog well, you’re probably getting some of that intuitive communication regularly and don’t even realize it. Like when you feel your dog wanting to go outside. When you look at them, that’s just what they want. Were they sending you mental signals, or did you think that on your own? If you purposely work to understand some of the nonverbal communication for yourself, you might be surprised at what you can understand after a while.

Then there are those times when you shake your head in confusion because of something that isn’t working right with your dog. Maybe your dog had started having accidents in the house when they used to be house-trained. Or it could be that they’ve developed some separation anxiety and now chew up your stuff when you’re gone. Something has changed, but what? Despite observing your dog and trying to figure out the problem, you need help.

How they help

Animal communicators can help clarify the situation. Even if you believe you’re capable of mental communication, you may not feel very confident that what you’re getting is on track. Someone who has practiced and strengthened the skills of communication can help you understand the situation more completely. Plus, they have an outside perspective to help you understand what your dog means and help them better understand you.

In general, your dog can tell you what the problem is and you can ask them questions or tell them what you’re thinking through the communicator who is translating the conversation for you. You might be surprised at just how easy it becomes to solve a problem once you understand each other.

Animal communicators provide a helpful service

I think almost everyone has the ability to communicate non-verbally with their animals. Most of us, however, don’t believe, so we don’t develop any skills and certainly don’t practice. Like any skill, if you learn and practice, you can often gain enough of the skill to get by. And that is what professional animal communicators do.

I’ve found their input really helpful when one of my dogs was nearing the end of their life here on earth and I wasn’t sure how best to help them. The lady I talked to translated to me what my dog’s wishes were.

In other instances, animal communicators have helped us sort out pain issues and what to do about them. While the practitioner couldn’t diagnose or treat the issue, they could give descriptions and locations as the dog described them so that when we went to the vet, I had more complete information to help with the diagnosis.

This is a subject that I find fascinating in its possibilities. Read these posts for more of my thoughts.
